Milk Pail Market is located about 35 mi (55 km) south of San Francisco, near San José. [ region map by Yahoo, in new window] From Alma St/Central Expwy (or from 101), take San Antonio south toward Los Altos. California St is the first traffic signal past the hump. Turn left into the far (curbside) lane; Milk Pail comes up very quickly on the right. From scenic I-280, exit at either Magdalena or El Monte and proceed a few minutes northeast (downhill) across Foothill Expwy, through the Springer/El Monte tee, and continue past both Mickey D and Office D to the very end of El Monte. Go left (“north”) on El Camino Real about 1.2 mi / 2 km to San Antonio, then turn right and … From Los Altos or along El Camino: get to the corner of San Antonio and El Camino (think Chef Chu’s & the former Tower Records) whichever way is easiest. Follow San Antonio past the old Sears location *sigh* to the second traffic signal (California St). Turn right and pull in at the Milk Pail sign. From Mtn. View via California St, turn left at Pacchetti Way (first traffic signal past Kohl’s), then go to your right, along the near side of BevMo and Ross, and park just steps away from the Milk Pail. Or follow Pacchetti from the new San Antonio Caltrain station, to our doorstep! Come on foot, come by bike, but come to Milk Pail first for the world’s most exciting tastes.
